Save Greater Yellowstone Wolves

Target: Interior Secretary Ken Salazar
Sponsored by: Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund
Entire wolf packs in the Greater Yellowstone and northern Rockies region are being stalked and killed. More than 160 wolves have already been killed in the Greater Yellowstone and northern Rockies region since wolf hunts began in Idaho and Montana.

Please sign our petition to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, urging him to withdraw his flawed delisting rule that prematurely removed vital protections for wolves in the northern Rockies region -- before a lasting wolf recovery slips from our grasp.

Subject: Withdraw the Flawed Wolf Delisting Rule

Dear Secretary Salazar,

As someone who is deeply concerned at seeing wolves and entire wolf packs killed in the northern Rockies region, I urge you to take immediate action to withdraw the flawed wolf delisting rule and develop a science-based plan to ensure the long-term conservation of the gray wolf.

The Bush administration plan that you approved was legally misguided and scientifically flawed. Just last month, a federal judge ruled that the wolf delisting was almost certainly illegal under the Endangered Species Act and that Defenders of Wildlife and its allies will likely prevail in their legal challenge to wolf delisting.

We can't stand by while wolf recovery -- one of the greatest wildlife conservation success stories in the last century -- slips away due to a policy error.

I urge you to take immediate action to withdraw the delisting and correct its flaws in order to provide a lasting future for wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the northern Rockies.

What the hell are these people thinking? People are so ignorant to the facts, when it comes to our wolf packs. We are the ones who have pushed these wolves to near extinction from aimless killings.Thank God they were brought back and are thriving without help.now they want to shoot them?!!!What is wrong with these people?!!! Stupidity! Once these animals are gone, what predator is next ? And next after that?If this keeps up there will be nothing beautiful in our world. These wolves are only trying to take care of their pups and the pack members. Just like we do for our families. People need to educate not eradicate.

A balance in any ecosystem is required; wolves are part of that balance.

Please don't destroy our wolf population again. OUR IGNORANCE AND FEAR years ago almost destroyed an important part of our eco-system. Please add wolves back to endangered species list and PROTECT THEM not slaughter them.
