It has become abundantly clear to a majority of the American people, not to mention the rest of the world, that the Bush administration has utterly failed to conduct a satisfactory investigation into the events of 9/11.  There has been no satisfactory explanation for the failure of our air defenses on that day, and the suspicion that the government itself was complicit in the attacks is widespread and growing rapidly.  Since the 9/11 attacks have been used by the Bush administration to justify its so-called "war on terror" at home and abroad, causing the loss of fundamental civil liberties as well as tens of thousands of lives, the failure to properly investigate those attacks is inexcusable and intolerable.  We are bitterly disappointed and equally outraged by the failure of the mainstream media and Congress to demand action by the executive branch befitting of a democratic republic.

We therefore plead, with the utmost urgency, that the American people do everything possible to elect people to office who will stand up to those in power, defend our right to know the full truth about the events of Sept. 11, 2001, and restore peace and our constitutional rights.
