We, the members of the OurParks LA Coalition, believe that safe, quality parks and open spaces play an essential role in the social, health, environmental, and economic vitality of our communities in Los Angeles County.
We have the opportunity to vote to provide a lasting legacy for neighborhood parks, open spaces, beaches, and rivers throughout the county. Highlights of this important measure include these goals:
- Protect clean water resources, including rivers and creeks
- Ensure drinking water is safe at park and recreation centers
- Remove asbestos, mold and lead paint from aging recreation centers
- Protect and preserve parks and natural areas
- Keep beaches open, clean, and safe
- Support funding for high need areas
Achieving this bold vision requires long-term investment.
Now's the time to show your support for our parks and open spaces. The LA County Board of Supervisors has voted to put measure on the November 8th ballot that will address the urgent needs of our parks and open space — creating safe, neighborhood parks and preserving our precious remaining open space.
We are petitioning to show that there is vast support for another local-funding voter-approved measure.
