The EU budget is out of date; ask EU leaders to increase funds for refugees & poverty eradication.

In 2013, the European Union decided on its maximum budget for the 7 years to come. Since then, the world has been confronted with new complex challenges, such as the ongoing global refugee crisis.

To meet the needs of refugees while ensuring we don't lose ground on the great progress made in the fight against extreme poverty, Europe needs to find additional resources. Our leaders must think long-term and recognise that yesterday's solutions no longer work today.

In the upcoming weeks, leaders will be discussing the EU budget for 2017.

Ask them to increase funds both for refugees and for poverty eradication in the poorest countries.
Dear European Leaders,

The planned EU budget is no longer appropriate for today's world. Please increase the aid budget to respond to the refugee crisis and to end extreme poverty by 2030.
