After a recent snake removal at a BMS Mitre 10 store in Toowoomba where they were using the product on their premises (has been removed now) yet they stated they will continue to recomend it to customers as the product has no warning that it is illegal to trap/kill/entangle wildlife.
I want to see this changed.
As we all know bird netting is used for so many different applications including trapping and killing protected native snakes, Flying foxes, Parrots and many other forms of wildlife.

If anybody has seen the damage this disgusting product does to an animal once it becomes entangled it is truely heartbreaking as many animals suffer injuries that server the only thing possible is humane euthanasia to end their suffering.

The product is sold and marketed as a way to deter and trap snakes and other wildlife which

1. is illegal as stated in the Qld Nature Conservation Act1992 part 5 division 4 section 88 (2)

2. is a cruel and inhumane way to trap/entangle protected wildlife which is an animal welfare issue that RSPCA needs to be made aware of.

3. As stated in the act it is illegal, therefore should be enforced by DEHP and the product should be banned and removed off the market.
