To ask BC citizens to demand the province have a referenda on Enbridge Great Northern Gateway pipeline and to have a new moratorium on oil tanker shipments.
Short term money grab decisions look like they are being influenced by self serving corporate interests, not Canada's interests or China's for that matter. We should be moving toward investing in an alternative energy, self-sustainable, environmentally friendly resource future, while controlling the growth in the oil-sands and limiting the types and amount of oil being shipped from BC's ports.
China's lax pollution controls and cheap labour enable this Chinese market big money grab, by oil companies. Taking advantage China's communist rule means there will be more pollution with forced cheap labour, all in the corporations greater profit interest, not China's or Canada's people's interests. This is capitalistic control combined with communism. Let's not fool ourselves, there are owners and heads of corporations that have controlling influences on the government, that are making behind closed door decisions directed at controlling the people's will and future. It should be the other way around. Resources should be controlled and owned by the country's people while being managed and equally distributed.
Mine and refine the oil in Alberta, Canada, in the interests of Canada keep jobs here in Alberta for greater management and control of these resources. Less chance of bitumen spills.
The transition to alternative energy self-sustainable, environmentally friendly resource future industry in Canada should be run by domestic companies monitored by the governing representatives under a Council of Canadian Scientists.
The provincial, (premiers) and federal (prime minister) governments are making decisions that undermine the current and future employment and resources of Canada.
- F.I.P.A.: behind closed doors decisions, orchestrated in and for the interests of corporate benefits and control.
- Enbridge Great Northern Gateway pipeline
- Tanker expansion Kinder Morgan
Compensations and spill clean ups will not happen as they are not in the interests of the corporations profit line. Example; Exxon Valdez, Kalamazoo River.

We need political accountability to the people of BC. not just the corporate influences of fossil fuel industries. For the protection of our environmental lands and waters by the people of BC. Avoiding any possibility of Kitimat BC or Vancouver, Canada becoming the next oil tanker casualty like the one in Valdez, Alaska, USA.
