Empower Young People in the Developing World

Jedidah Kemunto, aged 23, was struggling. Raising a four year old son with no income, she lived at home with her parents and faced an uncertain future.

All too often, we hear only of the struggle many young people face in Africa. But Jedidah's story is one of empowerment. By taking advantage of an economic development program of OIC International, Jedidah was able to land a job as a salesperson with an importing company.

This income allowed her to live independently, and to secure a future for her child. She hopes to one day pass along the skills she has learned to other youth so that they can secure employment or start their own businesses.

These are the types of successes made possible through the workforce empowerment programs of OIC International. These important programs provide vital workforce training and financial literacy development that allow young people to generate income - and manage the money they earn.

You can help change the narrative in the developing world. Your voice and your support are critical to help keep this work ongoing, and to help young people in Africa to work towards a brighter future. Take action today and pledge to support these important programs!
