There is no such thing as peace through war. The governments of the world seem to have forgotten this however the people of the world have not. Make your voices heard and tell the President that you do not support an unjustified war in Iraq that could cost countless lives and unleash catastrophic violence in the region.

| 612 | 7:08 pm PDT, Jun 12 | Gemma Canty | Brisbane | Australia | How can you say that death and violence will create peace and freedom. Intervention for human rights is one thing, the brutal bloodbath the bush administration call the 'War on Terror' is another, it is a disgrace to everything they say they are killing for. Yes our troops are brave, but they too know they are fighting for an unjust, greedy cause, which is why they all want to come home. Let them come home George Bush, and let the Iraqi's live. There is always an alternative to death and violence to resolve an issue Mr. Bush. Go back to the drawing board, and start a plan B. | ||
| 611 | 7:46 pm PDT, Apr 3 | Ms. | E'rienea Gurierrez | Milwaukee | Wisconsin | United States | I oppose against this war because I feel that we are just over ther for oil, not for freedom for our country. We already fought them for bombing the twin towers so why are we still over there? It is pointless. The war is giving the impression to the world that we are racist, hateful, greedy people. The war is only killing the soliders and innocent people in Iraq. We just need peace! |

| 609 | 6:41 pm PDT, Mar 18 | Danielle Koch | Justice | Illinois | United States | The war: promotes racism, soldiers are being killed and injured, the weapons of mass destruction are not there, and the money spent can be put towards helping the needy people in our nation. | |

| 602 | 11:59 pm PST, Nov 26 | Ms. | Anonymous | Hawaii | United States | I think everyone who signed this should take a minute to think about the US troops fighting for YOUR freedom to be able to sign a dumb petition like this. In Iraq, or any other country like it, you wouldnt be able to even sign this thing without having to fear a harsh punishment, if not death. This is a disgrace to our country and the troops who take proud and risk their lifes supporting the dumbass people who sign this. You don't have to agree with the war but dont bad mouth it. Imagine how the troops would feel if one of them saw this...why would they even want to risk their lifes for the inconsiderate people who sign this? I think everyone who has signed this deserves to experience what the Iraqis feel. Many of them want us there and want our help. Think more into it people. "IF YOU WONT STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS-FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM!" | |

There are more buildings, and more peace. If the troops were to pull out of Iraq, the terrorists would come right to the US. And people whine because they're children are dying in Iraq... They are dying for freedom for their country and its people. | |

NO to War in Iraq Without Just Cause!
Dear President George W. Bush,
We, the Undersigned, do not support a war in Iraq without just cause. Little evidence has come forth to suggest that Saddam Hussein is a threat to the United States. Should the United States attack first, it would be in violation of International Law.
It is foolish to consider such serious action when the conflict in the Middle East continues and threatens to spread into a wider conflict. Tensions are at a breaking point worldwide and a war in Iraq could provoke otherwise peaceful countries to join the fray and add to the cycle of violence. The governments of the world must show some restraint if peace is to be achieved. There is no such thing as peace through violence.
Please consider our thoughts and take actions that will ensure a future of restored trust between countries and peoples. The people of the United States cannot condone a policy of regime change at the will of its leaders. The people of the United States will support only just wars.
