The aquarium trade devastates Hawaii reefs against the will of Hawaii people and Hawaii reef wildlife, abetted by conflicted, corrupt aq interests in Hawaii State government. At any given moment 28 million reef wildlife critters are in the aquarium pipeline. 99% die within a year of capture. THAT'S what the aquarium trade calls sustainable. It's a bare-metal minimum that harms habitat and reef immunity. Give reefs a chance!
Pass SB 1240 HD1 to end aquarium permitting in Hawaii and freeze current permits pending a clean management plan with no aquarium trade corruption. Nobody gets hurt and everybody is free of this longstanding conflict in Hawaii. DO NOT cave in to mainland profiteers trafficking in Hawaii reef wildlife, devastating Hawaii reef habitat and species. NOBODY in Hawaii opposes SB 1240 HD1. Let the aquarium nightmare end peaceably now!
