FROM THE RESIDENTS OF SCOTIA, NY. Please do not slaughter the Canada geese of Collins Park. KILLING is not the answer! Effective, non-lethal, humane methods are available to reduce the Canada goose population. Do NOT wait until next year to use non-lethal methods. We implore you to use humane methods NOW!

FROM THE RESIDENTS OF SCOTIA, NY. Please do not slaughter the Canada geese of Collins Park. KILLING is not the answer! Effective, non-lethal, humane methods are available to reduce the Canada goose population. Do NOT wait until next year to use non-lethal methods. We implore you to be humane now!

Non-lethal and humane methods to reduce the Canada goose population have proven fully effective in many neighboring communities. Please see http://www.geesepeace.org/ (GeesePeace) and http://www.webdelta.com/wildgoosechase/ (Wild Goose Chase) for more information and testimonials. The Canada geese can be persuaded to leave IF you invite GeesePeace, Wild Goose Chase, or other such organizations to Collins Park.
We do not want Canada geese to be slaughtered by CO2 or any other means. Not only is CO2 terrifying and painful, but surviving geese from surrounding areas will simply fly to Scotia shortly after the extermination. Any form of killing the Canada geese is WRONG.
Let's NOT wait for next year to use non-lethal methods. Start now!
