#MoreCanada: Increase support for women and girls around the world

Canada is falling behind on its international aid commitments. Our international development funding now trails the G7 and a number of other similarly-sized countries as a percentage of Gross National Income.

If we do not change course, Canada will have its lowest aid commitment in the last half-century.

Right now, the federal government is in the final stages of preparing the 2017 Budget.

Please join Canadians across the country to urge the government to fulfill its commitments and invest to contribute to improve women and girls'; lives around the world.

In 2015 Prime Minister Trudeau announced to the world that Canada is back, and we are here to help. Our government, openly feminist, committed to place women and girls at the heart of its foreign aid policy.

It is time for #MoreCanada: to end violence against women and girls; stop early and forced marriages; and to promote women's rights and women's leadership in the community and the economy.

Canada's government can live up to their words by putting resources in women and girls' hands necessary for them to realize their potential as agents for change.
