Congressman Chris Smith has not held a Town Hall Meeting in 25 years.
One of the most wonderful things about our democracy is how accessible our legislators are supposed to be to us, their constituents. But when they stop holding town hall meetings, and it is easier for big donors to get meetings with them than it is for the people who elected them, our democracy begins to break down.
Congressman Chris Smith needs to provide an opportunity for their constituents to express their views and request support as needed. We elected him. He is supposed to work for us. And yet, he is not listening to us. It is time for that to change!

Dear Congressman Smith,
You have not held a Town Hall meeting in almost 25 years. This is greatly disconcerning. Therefore I created a petition asking your Constituents to sign requesting you have a Town Hall meeting.
Indivisible New Jersey 4th District is holding a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Brookdale Community College starting at 6 pm. We would greatly appreciate it if you would attend.
We fell you are not listening to us and we have grave concerns regarding numerous issues that affect all of us.

There will be a Town Hall meeting with or without Rep. Smith on April 19, 2017 at Brookdale Community College from 6pm to 8pm. Join Indivisible NJ 4th District has organized a Protest for Sunday morning, March 26, 2017 outside The Breakers in Spring Lake, NJ where Rep. Chris Smith will hold a donors' brunch.
The protest will begin at the North End Pavilion in Spring Lake at 10 a.m. Sunday and march from there to The Breakers, the refined hotel where Rep. Smith will be hosting a campaign fundraiser donor brunch. It will be a peaceful protest outside The Breakers.
