Amendment 1 of The United States Constitution tells us that we have the right to free speech. It also tells us that no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
In our public schools The Pledge Of Allegiance is not used anymore because it contains the word GOD. Our children are taught Darwins theory, but cannot pray in school. How can we as Americans One Nation Under God not keep our values, and allow this to happen?

(Religious rights) What about our freedom of speech? That takes that away. This is suposed to be a free country. What only to nonchristians? That dont sound free to us. We know that you are a christian, so please ask God for guidance, on this matter. We are signing this petition so you can reconsider this unfair, unconstitutional law.

I believe that since prayer has been taken out of the school they have lost a lot of values. What happened to freedom of religion? I think if someone did not want their child to pray that they could tell the teachers that they did not want that and the teacher could give them something to do for those few minutes. Crime rate in school has went up since prayer has been took out of school. Children don't feel the connection that they once did. If people that don't believe in God have a rights , so should us that believe in God . I understand that they are scared that our beliefs will touch their lives. But children learn about evolution theory and other things like that . There is no Difference . I think we need our rights back. Christians should have the same rights as others. We give other religions there space and respect. We deserve the same.

This constitution was created by Christian leaders following God's laws. Prayer has always been the foundation of our commitment to God. Should we lose this right and privilege, we may lose touch with our creator (God) , and our country would fall into ruin-as would we all! Stay in touch with God...PRAY!! God will hear and answer!

We need God more than ever in America again. Remember there are more Christians than non-Christians in our country and we need to stand up and let our voices be heard instead of being silent and letting others rule us out!!! i may be only 20, but i know what this country was founded on. This country was founded on christianity. You know, we had ameraincs 200 years ago, beat the british 1-100. They also wrote the decleration of independence, breaking 13 laws. I pray every night for the idiots that took prayer and bibles out of school. My lord hears our crys. You know the bible says in Deuteronomy 28:3 "you will be blessed in sity, and in country. Also in that same chapter verse 7 "The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven." THAT IS WHY WE HAD WON AGAINST THE BRITHSIH. The lord our God, will bless this land once again if we reinstate these things into our schools!

Prayer should NEVER have left schools to begin with. I feel that our children's and everyone's constitutional rights have been violated. I believe it is important for children to have prayer in schools for the emotional, mental well-being. Lets get Prayer back in our schools.

Luckily my daughter's school still says the pledge of allegiance and I am quite happy and proud of that fact. I can't imagine her not doing so in school. How can anyone who is an American citizan find it offensive no matter what race you are. When those who come to America and want to become a citizen so they can earn the same rates as everyone else they must say the pledge of allegiance. If this is something that must be done then why is it that our children should not be allowed to do this? We wonder where our morals and values have gone and it starts when our children are young and by showing them there is nothing wrong with everyone being different but to be proud of where you live and that no matter how we are different we still have this one thing in common and that is our love for America and the rights and freedoms that we have here.

We should instead dance the lambada, instead of praying... When are you guys going to learn? It is not a freedom of speech, or a religious freedom matter. Why is it then that America is negligent when it comes to encouraging Religious Harmony and Unity. For a so called "God Fearing Nation" where is your committment to ensuring that your future Americans embrace Religious Tolerance and Return God to the Nation by returning Religious Activities to the places where children learn Values, respect,tolerance and a committment to preserving Life in a more Caring, humane manner. Mr Bush, not only does America need God returned to it, but the entire world needs God to take a prominent role in Life. As the the Nation who sets itself above all Nations as an example of humanity, and of how the world should operate. I urge you to take a Stand for something vital to life, and lead the Way and Return God to the world that you profess to know what is best. Don't give up the faith cause the unbelievers are the ones that are loosing out ;-)All we can do is pray for them, and ask God to change their heart, and continue teaching our children how to pray.Don't worry if the school don't want to teach our children, we the parents should continue to do so.
