Stop the Attack on LGBT Rights: Repeal HB 2!

North Carolina's Governor McCrory just signed HB 2, a hate-filled anti-LGBT bill into law.

The bill, which was rushed through a special one-day session and signed by Governor McCrory in the dead of the night eliminated existing municipal non-discrimination protections for LGBT people, forces transgender students in public schools to use restrooms inconsistent with their gender identity, and bans cities and towns from passing protections for LGBT people in the future.

We need to show Governor McCrory that the pressure to repeal is far and wide – and that a failure to act during the new legislative session will have serious consequences. No matter where you live, you can have an impact on equality in North Carolina.

Now is the time to stand in solidarity with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender North Carolinians. Sign your name and tell Governor McCrory to repeal HB 2!

Dear Governor McCrory,

I'm incredibly disappointed in your decision to sign HB 2 into law.

The bill limits protection for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and puts their lives at risk. Forcing LGBT individuals to use restrooms inconsistent with their gender identity and eliminating ordinances that would expand much-needed protection for queer individuals is an attack on LGBT rights.

Make the right decision, and repeal HB 2 when legislators go back in session next month.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
