Tell the EPA: Americans Want Industrial Carbon Pollution Protections!

  • by: Sierra Club
  • recipient: EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson
For the first time ever, our government is proposing federal limits on industrial carbon pollution. Not only is carbon pollution linked to climate disruption, but also to significant health hazards like asthma inducing smog. Right now, 158 million Americans live in counties with unacceptable air pollution levels. By showing the EPA that we want clean air, we can make sure they go the distance and put new protections in place.

Send a message to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson. Let her know you want strong industrial carbon pollution protections to clean up our air.

Deadline extended: We now have until June 25. Please act now!
Subject: Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2011-0660

Dear Administrator Jackson,

Thank you for standing up for clean air and protecting our families!

As you know, carbon pollution is the main contributor to climate disruption and is linked to life-threatening air pollution like asthma-inducing smog, making it a serious hazard to Americans' health and future.

I strongly support the proposed new standards to clean up dangerous carbon pollution from new power plants.

By setting carbon pollution protections, the EPA is moving forward to clean up and modernize the way we power our country -- ensuring healthier kids, families and workers, while creating much-needed jobs and fighting climate disruption.

Thank you for protecting our families by proposing new standards to clean up dangerous carbon pollution from new power plants!
