Keep North Platte Tractor Supply a Pet Friendly Business!

The North Platte Tractor Supply has a reputation in this community as a pet-friendly business with an open-door policy for people and their animals alike.  Patrons can enter the store with cash in one hand and a leash in the other, free to shop with their four-legged friends, as long as they get along with Tator, the feline store mascot.
Additionally, and even better than the welcoming environment offered to pets by the local Tractor Supply, is the support given by this business to the North Platte Animal Shelter, the local municipal kill shelter.  For some time now, Tractor Supply has opened their doors to the homeless dogs, cats and rabbits of North Platte and the surrounding communities and has sponsored events focused exclusively on the adoption of these animals to forever homes, called Adoptathons.  Adoptathons are hugely successful, and have gained increasing popularity in the community, making them a fundamental measure in the local effort to rescue animals and reduce the number of unnecessary euthanizations of unwanted pets.
Be that not enough, Tractor Supply has also recently invited the North Platte Animal Shelter to start using their facility as a showroom of sorts for adoptable dogs and cats; cages housing shelter animals are displayed at Tractor Supply to showcase them in an effort to increase exposure and in turn adoptions of these animals.  As shelter hours are very limited, and now even less than ever with the closing on Saturdays, this is a literally life-saving measure offered by Tractor Supply.
HOWEVER:  Corporate "Superiors" don't seem to appreciate the humanitarian efforts made by our local store.  They seem unphased by the importance of their business's contribution to the local animal rescue efforts, and are planning to STOP all pet-friendly policies the North Platte branch of Tractor Supply has currently in place.  They want to rid the store of all non-commercial animals, including Tater the Cat.  They want to put a stop to the Adoptathons currently located at the store, and will not allow shelter pets to be kenneled in-store for advertisement and adoption purposes.  Also, they will likely no longer allow companion pets to join patrons while shopping.
This is a devastating announcement for supporters of the North Platte Animal Shelter, local rescuers and patrons of Tractor Supply who have enjoyed these pet-friendly policies for so long now.  This is also a death sentence to MANY dogs and cats that will not be adopted because of this exclusion by corporate Tractor Supply.
THIS DECISION NEEDS TO BE REVERSED, AND WE NEED TO BE THE ONES TO TELL THEM TO DO IT!
Please sign this petition, and voice your opinion to keep the pet-friendly policies at the North Platte Tractor Supply.  This especially includes the continuance of Adoptathons and in-house boarding of adoptable dogs and cats from NPAS.  Let them know where you stand, and where you intend to take your business if this policy does not remain in effect!

We the Undersigned implore that you reconsider your current plans to revise the "pet friendly" policies at the North Platte Tractor Supply Store.  This business is known in the community as a pet-welcome facility that promotes animal welfare and is a much-needed and much-appreciated partner with the local animal shelter.  Your business pairs with our kill shelter to rehome unwanted pets and save lives; this community needs the support offered by this local branch of your company and will suffer dearly without it!  Please allow the animal-friendly policies and procedures to remain in place.  The North Platte Animal Shelter, the local Rescue community and the Animals whose lives you will save will be so grateful to you.
