Support the Global Food Security Act

One billion people -- that's one-sixth of the world -- go hungry every day, and that number is getting higher.

The consequences are devastating. Malnourished children don't reach their full learning or working potential, and hunger can stunt growth, mental development and make people more susceptible to disease.

But Congress is taking action. The Global Food Security Act would coordinate a cooperative global food security strategy and fund initiatives to end global hunger.

The plan would address the underlying causes of hunger to help people overcome poverty through investing in long-term agriculture development and improving social safety net programs.

Please ask your senators and representatives to co-sponsor the Global Food Security Act and fight to end hunger around the world.
Dear [Decision Maker],

You have an opportunity now to reduce global hunger for the more than 1 billion suffering from chronic hunger today. The bipartisan Global Food Security Act (H.R. 3077/S. 384) would establish a comprehensive global food security strategy to address the underlying causes of global hunger and help lift people out of poverty through increased investment in long-term agriculture development, more flexibility in addressing food emergencies and social safety net programs.

Please stand with the more than 1 billion individuals, primarily women and children, suffering from chronic hunger by co-sponsoring and helping to pass the Global Food Security Act (H.R. 3077 or S. 384).
