Tell President Bush: Do Not Send More Troops to Iraq
Target: George W. Bush, PresidentSponsored by: Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee
Recently, President Bush had an opportunity to announce that he would begin to bring our troops home. Instead, he made the choice to escalate our involvement in Iraq's civil war by sending in 21,500 more troops.
Our troops and their families have served our nation courageously and sacrificed enough! But with each State of the Union address, Bush announces a major strategic shift for Iraq that is nothing more than the same failed tactics all over again.
President Bush: We The People do not support the plan to escalate the troop levels in Iraq!
The truth is simple: adding additional troops has already been tried and it has already failed. Democrats, Republicans and the bipartisan Iraq Study Group have all offered President Bush a roadmap to turn Iraq over to the Iraqis, begin the phased redeployment of American troops and end our open-ended commitment. There is a better way.

This has all become pointless. We are 'helping' a country that does not want or appreciate our help. Our soldiers have done and been through enough. They are neither safe nor appreciated in Iraq. If our soldiers must be overseas, send them somewhere that their help is actually wanted, appreciated, and needed.

we have lost som many innocent ppl already the troops are tired and worn out. Our soldiers are amazing fearless and selfless. Lets let them have a rest and I dont mean for just a year they have done more then anyone in government could even think of doing. They need to be shown the apprectiation and respect they deserve. Enough is enough bring our troops home before we lose more lives!!!!!!!!

Face it. Like Vietnam, this war is a failure. Our military tactics in removing the threat do not work against these terrorists who shield themselves behind civilians. The Australian government have recently been asked whether the war in the Middle East is all about oil and not about protecting the innocent people of Iraq and surrounding countries. I have been saying this all along. I think that it's time to hand it all back to the Iraqi government and get our (meaning allied) troops out of there. It's not about weapons of mass distruction anymore so why do we remain?
