Get Rep. Paul Broun Off The House Science Committee
Republican Congressman Paul Broun claims that the Big Bang Theory, evolution, and embryology are "lies straight from the pit of hell" -- a dangerous viewpoint for a physician who sits on the science committee of the House of Representatives.
While speaking at a Baptist church in Georgia, Broun insisted that, as a scientist, he's found the earth is really young. He believes the earth is 9,000 years old, was created in six days by God, and that theories contradicting this are lies that prevent us from understanding our need for a savior.
If Broun wants to substitute scientific data for radical religion, he needs to do it far away from the Science, Space, and Technology Committee on the House of Representatives. Rep. Broun is in the middle of running for Georgia's reelection this October and runs unopposed by Democrats.
This isn't just misinformed; it's downright irresponsible. Keep Congressman Brown away from America's science committee after his blatant denouncement of scientific study!
