Help Rebuild a Healthy Global Food System
Food has changed a lot over the last 50 years. In today's food production system, crop diversity is shrinking, family farms are struggling, and even something as simple as a tomato isn't nearly as good for us as it was 50 years ago.
WE have the power to create change. There is a worldwide movement of small farmers around the world who are already working with nature to build a better food system. But many of them, especially in the global South, need our support.
Pledge to take these steps to join the worldwide movement to change our food system:
- Support small farmers at home and abroad -- buy local, organic and fair trade whenever you can;
- Learn more about where our food comes from and how it is produced;
- With resources and tools from the USC Canada Seeds of Survival program, discover the web of food diversity that farmers have nurtured globally for thousands of years.
Together, we can rebuild a healthy food system, here at home and around the world!
