Fight Childhood Hunger This Summer

For most kids, summer is full of fun. But for too many children across America the end of the school year can mean they may not know where their next meal is coming from.

When school ends, most of the meal programs kids and their families depend on end too.

According to the USDA, nearly 16 million children in the U.S. suffer from food insecurity.

For millions of kids, summer vacation means three months without the free or reduced priced school lunches and breakfasts they've come to depend on as a primary source of nutritious, stable meals. Without those balanced meals, kids may not have the energy to do what kids should do over the summer - play with their friends, have fun and just... be kids.

Feeding America is working to address the gap. You can help. Pledge to learn more, spread the word, and share your time and generosity to make sure no kid has to go hungry this summer!
