But we specifically look for the fats and sugars and the salts that are added to render food unhealthy to eat, but cheap to warehouse and market. Palm oil production is bad for both the human and the planet. So, there is really nothing to like about Palm Oil.

1,012 6:35 am PDT, Sep 4 Mrs. Joanne Garnier France A great deal of forest in Trinidad & Tobago has been altered by humans. Roads, trails and clearings have opened up the forests to illegal activities, slash and burn activities by squatters are prevalent in the Northern Range. We need to enact legislation to establish protected areas that are staffed and educate and involve our children in the protection of their rich biodiversity.
1,011 2:03 pm PDT, Sep 3 Ms. Olivia Comissiong France It's about time that someone fights for t&t forest as there is just a little of it left.......it's sad to know that it is acctualy the locals that are killing it.

All life in the great rainforests is threatened by the greedy, bottomless money holes in the pockets of big investors and unsustainable farmers. The uneducated workers slash and burn everything for plantations and cattle! STUPID- if this is continually allowed, our own lungs are going to be unsalvageable!!! Why isn't anyone consious about this? We are not just killing ourselves but all life on earth that took thousands of years to evolve.

Save The Rainforests

Dear Greenpeace,

The rainforests and wildlife of Trinidad and Tobago are silently crying out for your aid in the battle for survival. These innocent inhabitants are under serious threat as absent-minded people rampantly destroy the beauty of the natural world. Most of the country that was once covered in lush, thriving forests has been replaced with unsightly, garbage-strewn streets.

Although the country has a lot of wealth through the oil and gas industry, and though there are many caring individuals who are willing to invest in the protection of the forests, there exist no institutions with the power to effect far-reaching change. There is also the urgent need for recycling plants in order to deal with the rapidly accumulating waste at landfills throughout the country.

Please extend your operations to the country of Trinidad and Tobago in the very near future. The remaining rainforests and its creatures will thank you.
