Help Children Live the American DREAM

There are thousands of young people in the United States that could be deported even though it's the only country they know as home.

That's where the DREAM Act comes in. The proposed legislation would provide certain undocumented young people a pathway to conditional permanent residency.

President Obama has urged the passage of the DREAM Act as part of a larger package of immigration reform.

In the meantime, though, young people eligible for legal residency under the DREAM Act are being deported.

That's why we're calling on President Obama to issue an executive order to stop the deportation of DREAM-eligible young people.
Dear President Obama,

I am writing to commend you for your support of the DREAM Act.

Undocumented young people desperately need a pathway to legal residency. However, while the legislation is awaiting passage in Congress, DREAM-eligible young people are subject to deportation.

I respectfully ask that you issue an executive order to stop the deportation of young people eligible for residency under the DREAM Act until the legislation can be passed.

Sincerely,
