Make Sure Every Vote Counts

In the 2000 and 2004 general elections, voters in Florida, Ohio and other states were caught up in electoral debacles that led to major problems on Election Day and voter distrust of our election system today.
And despite all the talk and promises of voting reform and improvements, major election issues remain unaddressed, and voters continue to question the integrity of our elections.
The latest problem is the electronic voting machines which were supposed to be part of the solution. These machines leave NO paper record of our votes! They provide no permanent documentation that could prove that votes are being counted accurately. In the world's greatest democracy - a democracy that in recent years has been plagued by faulty elections that undermine voter trust - this is just unacceptable.
Take action! Join Senator Evan Bayh and call on Governor Bush and Governor Taft to lead the way for verified voting in the critical states of Florida and Ohio!

Fraud and corruption is evident in the primary elections again. Stop electronic voting, and use only paper ballots, and count them by hand as they do in Germany and Switzerland. There is far less chance of manipulation and corruption than with electronic voting where shifting of votes and pre-programming of election results has occurred. Use Paper ballots in which votes may be recounted for high reliability without the source codes and incomprehensible computer glitches that happen with computer and touch screen voting machines..

Using computer voting has shown itself to be a disaster. There is no paper trail, no permanent record, codes for the machines can be tampered with to change results. Sheer dishonesty, and corruption. Ban electronic voting machines, require hand-counting of paper ballots. There is no basis for electronic tabulating other than the demand by the media for fast results, and the demand for great profits by Diebold, Sequoia & other voting machine companies (at public expense) who make these easily hackable machines. Paper ballots, IRV voting- in which all votes count, ballot access, fair and open debates with all candidates- third and independent parties included.

I believe that I need a paper copy of my ballot to enable me to have a verified copy of my vote so should a recount be called that I can show my paper copy of my vote so it is counted the same way as my verified correct vote on my ballot is.
