It's been 20 years since Anita Hill courageously exposed Clarence Thomas as a sexual harasser during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

Now, in a bizarre and offensive move, Thomas' wife -- a right-wing Tea Party advocate -- has asked Anita Hill to apologize to her abuser.

When Hill revealed Thomas' abuse, she was savaged in a sexist spectacle that shocked the nation and, thanks to a hasty swearing-in brought on by conservatives, Thomas was confirmed to the Supreme Court nonetheless.

Virginia Thomas is asking the wrong person to apologize. Her inappropriate call is yet another example of Tea Party adherents' attempts to rewrite history and claim victimhood for the powerful as they attack minority groups -- be they women, gays, African Americans or immigrants.

Demand that Clarence Thomas apologize to Anita Hill.
