Denounce Republican Sexism

GOP operatives in Ohio recently sent around a newsletter encouraging constituents to help "take Rep. Betty Sutton out of the House and put her back in the kitchen."

This comment comes not long after House Republicans said that Speaker Pelosi should be "put in her place." Sexism like this needs our strong response. The GOP's comments not only devalue women and all they contribute, but the comments are an unconscionable statement of belief about the potential of our girls and young women.

Denounce Republican sexism and send a letter telling Republicans that it is not okay to devalue women to further the party's political ambitions.
Dear Medina, Ohio Republican Party,

I am outraged by the statement published in the Medina Country Republican Newsletter urging constituents to "Take Betty Sutton out of the House and put her back in the kitchen."

These statements reflect a callous dismissal of the millions of ways women add value to our society and our country. I am writing to encourage you to denounce GOP sexism as a tactic to further the party's political ambitions.
