This petition is to the President of the United States of America To Establish a Department of Animal Affairs to protect companion animals.
Our animals are incapable, mentally and physically, of protecting themselves.

To change the laws to include Recovery of Common Law Damages for Emotional Distress, Loss of Society, and Loss of Companionship for the Wrongful Death of a Companion Animal.

To mandate that all drugs and Off Label Drugs given to companion animals be accompanied by information sheets about adverse reactions, dosage, side effects etc.

On May 19th my belowed German Shepherd Sam died from what I believe was a severe adverse reaction to an Class II Opiod drug Fentanyl given him by his Veterinarian without so much as a second word or thought as to reactions to him or to me nor any type of information whatsoever.
This drug has not been tested for animals nor approved by the FDA for animal use.

If you agree, and do not want your companion animal to fall victim to a similar fate, then please sign this petition and force our lawmakers to protect our companion animal from needless deaths such as Sam's.

Thank You
