Make Women's Rights a Priority!

Sponsored by: Mama Cash
Throughout history, countless women have planned, organized, lectured, wrote, marched, petitioned, lobbied and broke new ground in every field imaginable.

The lives of women have been changed forever – but there’s still so much more to do for women’s rights around the globe.

The 88 days between Dec. 10 and March 8 - International Human Rights Day and International Women's Day – is a time to make women's rights a special priority. We're already halfway there. Now is the time to Act!

You can contribute to a better world for women and girls! Pledge to do your part during these 88 days and convert your personal power into action and awareness.

Your pledge can be as simple as sharing your opinion on women's rights, or reading an article - or it can be as large as hosting a dinner party in honor of womens' rights, taking part in an event or making a speech.

Make your pledge to make women’s rights a special priority today!

How wrong is it that men have decided they are the "stronger" sex. Women clearly have for years been powerful. Smart, strong, supportive, we do it all. We provide the children to keep the world active. They are so afraid of what we can do they need to suppress us.

By working for human rights in general we also work for "women's rights." We should all take action to ensure that every individual is treated equally under the law, whether that individual is male or female. No group should be legally subordinate to another; however, in the American legal system, there still remain laws which protect one gender at the expense of another (especially in the realm of family law). These bad laws must be changed so that all will receive equal treatment under the law. Globally, I choose to donate to organizations providing micro-loans to women in third-world countries. It has been proven that when income is earned by the wife that money is far more likely to be spent on the real welfare of the family, including the children, rather than if the income is received by the husband.

When will the world learn that it takes EVERYONE to make a planet? When you are unjust to any race/gender of people, we ALL suffer. When women/girls are empowered & allowed basic human rights & freedoms, there is no limit to the positive results this can have.
