398 11:45 am PST, Feb 25 Ms. Marilyn Emmons DID IT APPLY TO NIXON????? SHALL WE IMPEACH THOSE IN HIGH PLACES WHO DO NOT UPHOLD THE LAW? THE PPRD DATE, ONCE ESTABLISHED CANNOT BE ALTERED UNLESS: 1. THERE IS NEW EVIDENCE; 2.MISCONDUCT IN PRISON; 3. SOME PREVIOUSLY OVERLOOKED NEW EVIDENCE. A PRISONER HAS THE RIGHT TO EXPECT THAT ONCE ESTABLISHED THE PPRD IS UNALTERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD THINK OTHERWISE. THEY ARE A CORRUPT ENTITY WHICH WAS TO HAVE BEEN ABOLISHED IN 1983. WHY IS IT STILL IN EXISTENCE 26 YEARS LATER??? SO MUCH FOR THE SUNSHINE LAW. WHO DOES THE SUN SHINE ON??? CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION.OF COURSE IT IS JOB SECURITY. ONLY THOSE PRISONERS WHO IT APPEARS WILL RETURN TO PRISON ARE EVER RELEASED. MOST OF THEM ARE INCARCERATED WELL BEYOND THEIR LIFE EXPECTANCY, ALL IN VIOLATION OF 18 USC, WHICH CLEARLY STATES THAT AN INMATE CANNOT BE INCARCERATED BEYOND HIS LIFE EXPECTANCY, ETC. ETC. ABSOLUTELY AND TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE LOVED ONES INCARCERATED, AS WELL AS HONEST AND LAW-ABIDING LAWYERS AND THERE ARE SOME OF US AROUND, BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!!!
397 9:34 am PST, Jan 5 Mr. John Longo I don't think any law applies to the parole commission. They get paid astronomical amounts of money to play god, and are holding on to their jobs by maliciously holding on to those who have paid their debt to society. It's all a scam, the lawyers soak up thousands of dollars with promises in the world but are actually in lieu with the parole commission, securing their jobs and income. Not only is Florida the unjust state but first & foremost the money state! The Parole Commission gets money, the lawyers get money. the hotels, car rentals, restaurants. Went twice in front of the Parole Commission for nothing, $20,000 dollars into their pockets with and added 70 years on top of the 25 years charge free completed for parole! A big Florida slap in the face to my family! No, it's not fair at all! It really sucks! Oh, absolutely! It's all job security and money! They sit up on their chairs playing god all over again. It's not a release program, but an added trial with the board tacking on a ridiculous amount of years to your sentence to prolong the inmates' & families suffering, mentally and in the pocket. Absolutely

The Parole Commission has done some inhuman things to inmates that has payed their debts to society and will find reason to violate on pettie issues that will give them reason to maintain their careers. It is obvious that most inmates are aware of this sitution and as citizens we need to persue such issues as these as a whole.

STOP THE ILLEGAL SELF-PERPETUATION OF THE FLORIDA PAROLE COMMISSION

There are approximately two thousand (2000) parole eligible people still in prison in Florida under the pre-1983 parole system.

Over eight hundred (800) of them have had their parole-release dates suspended by the capricious actions of the Parole Commission several weeks, some even days, before their PPRD.

The Commission uses the same information used to suspend a parole eligible prisoner's date that was used in setting that date.

It is a well established fact that parole eligible prisoners suffer a more stringent and restrictive form of imprisonment than the majority of prisoners serving time in FDOC.

Letters that have been sent to you concerning parole eligible prisoners have been turned over to the Parole Commission for response. By doing so, the families, friends, loved ones, attorneys of parole eligible prisoners, religious organizations, and members of the voting community have surmised that your campaign promise to "help the older prisoners that are parole eligible obtain release" was nothing more than an "Empty Promise" and "Rhetoric" to amass votes to be elected.

Several years ago, the "Parole Elimination Network" initiated a workable solution that would send these parole eligible prisoners home to their families, and also save several million dollars of the state budget.

Of course the Parole Commission lobbied against this measure because they realized the writing on the wall: That if there was only one class of prisoners in the FDOC, they would be out of a job.

Governor Bush, it is time to rid the State of Florida of the abject failure of the Parole Commission and initiate the "Pen" proposal as written.

As a resident-voter in the state of Florida, and as a citizen of the United States of America, I believe it is time for truth and representation by those we elect within this state and nation!
