In the past two years there has been a lot of tough talk on global warming. But our elected leaders have yet to put forth any real or effective solutions.
With the new Congress, we have a new opportunity to pass meaningful legislation. Environmental leaders and many of this countries largest companies support passing mandatory limits on carbon emissions and with a robust trading system. And polls have shown a strong majority of
Americans - including a majority of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents - favor such a plan.
We need to make 2007 the year for effective global warming action!
Tell your Member of Congress to enacting a hard cap on global warming pollution and a concrete timetable for reduction.
We signed the “Support Effective and Real Global Warming Action” petition!

To be very honest, I am sick and tired of all the lip service and spin we are getting on environmental action -- don't you realize that if we ruin the environment it doesn't matter how much money corporations make? Stop the talk! Start the meaningful action -- NOW.

Tough global warming legislation is needed now! It was actually needed more than 40 years ago but we must act now to turn this around! Thank you!

I know a lot of people believe that the current warming trend is a natural cycle of the earth, and that may very well be, but reducing our carbon footprint, relying less on foreign energy by reducing our use, and making power plants and cars more efficient so they use less fuel and create less pollution benefits everyone, regardless of the global warming issue.
