Rebecca Saunders is Innocent!

On May 14th 2007 Rebecca Saunders had a life changing event happen.  She was arrested and charged with a horrible crime that she did not commit.  She was charged with aggrivated child abuse! She was released on $5000 bail.

Rebecca had only begun watching poor little Kaleb on May 7th.  He was brought to Rebecca already sick.  On May 8th Kaleb returned and he was still sick so Rebecca called the mother and told her that she needed to take Kaleb into the doctors office and have him checked...

Rebecca called and told the mother she needed to get the baby picked up because something was definently wrong with him and instead of coming right away, a couple hours later the grandmother showed up for him and took him home and put him to bed...  Since Rebeccas arrest, Kristy (Kalebs mother) has put out numerous blogs and pics on myspace about her sons medical status... I HOPE AND PRAY EVERYDAY THAT KALEB GETS BETTER but do not feel that Rebecca committed this horrible crime!  In time, the truth will be reveiled.  At this point there are so many things that just do not add up with blogs Kristy has posted, money she is receiving, gifts, etc and she just purchased a home and used some of the money that was to be used for Kalebs medical as the down payment.

Saunders%u2019 defense attorney said Monday that the case against his client lacks sufficient evidence.

Authorities reported Kaleb%u2019s injuries were sustained between May 8 and May 9, a fact the attorney, Leon Jones, said could help prove Saunders%u2019 innocence.

%u201CWe know the child was not in her care and custody for two solid days,%u201D Jones said.

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION IF YOU BELIEVE THAT REBECCA IS INNOCENT! Remember, this is just a page for Rebecca supporters and just so people can voice their opinions and feelings.  Everyone is not for Rebecca and that is fine... there is another petition somewhere on this site for Kristy supporters.  

Remember, Rebecca also has 3 kids of her own that have been living this horrible nightmare with Rebecca until the truth comes out... Her kids are suffering just like Kalebs family is suffering!   

Hang in there Rebecca... Your innocence will be proven!  We also hope that Baby Kaleb gets well!!!  We pray for you everyday!  Several people have asked if they could send something to Rebecca and she has asked to not receive anything of monetary value (no money, gift cards, etc) but a "thinking of you" or some sort of encouragement greeting card is fine.

Just a little info that I found interesting, this came from someone who has been keeping in contact with me...

It may not be SBS it very well maybe VIDS. It really doesn't take much to
convince a new mother that a stranger hurt her child. I'm sure that Kristy
has been told by everyone in the hospital that the vaccines could not have
caused it...It's much easier to believe that the babysitter did it than to
think it might have been something you chose to do. Heres a couple comments in news article.
According to The Ledger, a Florida paper, Kaleb's 21-year-old mother Kristy dropped him off at daycare on May 8. That day Kristy Schwade posted a comment to a friend on MySpace that the babysitter informed her Kaleb was throwing up and had a fever of 102. The next day, May 9, Kaleb went back to the same babysitter - Rebecca Saunders. At the end of that day, Kaleb was asleep and breathing funny. He was taken to the doctor's office and promptly treated for brain injury. It turns out Kaleb Schwade has bilateral hemorrhaging and subdural hematoma (bleeding on the brain).
"So I just got a call from the Babysitter and Kaleb is SICK 102 fever and
throwing up WHEN WILL IT END! I am so tired of DRAMA, " she wrote.
I also belong to another forum that has a anti-vaccine doctor there and this is what she wrote about the issue.
Hmmmm.....6 months old and now has "Shaken Baby Syndrome." Was it his vaccines? (routine at that month are HepB, polio, HIb, DTap, Rotavirus,
Prevnar and influenza....same as getting 27 vaccines AT ONE TIME.)To "shake" a baby hard enough to do that kind of damage, you would first BREAK ITS NECK not cause brain damage, because of the size and weight of the head. That has been PROVEN by many, including engineers who have calculated sheer forces. Shaking kills before it injures the brain.
Among the many adversities and difficulties facing the American family
today, there is a relatively new and growing hazard in which a parent or
caretaker may be falsely accused of murdering or injuring an infant by the
shaken baby syndrome, when the true cause of death of injury arises from
other sources. Very tragically, child abuse does occur and deserves
appropriate punishment.
However, it is equally tragic when a family, already grieving over their
infant, finds a sitter or parent unjustly accused, convicted, and imprisoned
for murder of the infant, a murder of which he or she is innocent.

Just something to think about before you all go and mentally convict someone without seeing any evidence.
