Tell Your Representative to Oppose HB 2011

Pennsylvania HB 2011, which would allow people to file lawsuits as punishment for towns and cities that are trying to protect their communities, may go before the house soon. And the gun lobby is trying to use an unusual procedural rule to block debate and discussion about proposed changes to the bill.

Specifically, this bill would make it much more difficult for municipalities in Pennsylvania to pass ordinances to help track lost and stolen firearms. This would would encourage illegal gun purchases and make our communities much less safe.

The gun lobby is committed to making sure this bill gets passed. We need to make sure they don't succeed. Write your Representative today and help make sure this bad bill isn't passed.
Dear Representative,

I oppose HB 2011 which allows people to file lawsuits as punishment for towns and cities that are trying to protect their communities.

I also oppose the procedural rules to block debate and discussion about changes that have been proposed to that bill.

I hope you will vote No on blocking debate on the amendments and I hope you will oppose this misguided bill.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
