Give Women/Transgender/Transsexual People from Ethnic Backgrounds a Stronger Voice in American Media

In 2014, it was observed that many films, television shows, and the fashion and music industry in the United States had featured a vast majority of Caucasian people in stark contrast to those from ethnic backgrounds who work the same jobs. Not only is this backwards in terms of disregard to race - but also in terms of disregard to sexual equality, as many Caucasian women in America working both on and off-screen outnumbered women, as well as members of the transgender/transsexual community, of wide-ranging ethnicity both domestically and internationally.

To heap insult upon injury, the vast majority of women and transgender/transsexual members from different races who come to work in America in media are still either neglected and/or exploited - at times both at once - by a current xenophobic, homophobic male-dominated system that has followed in the wake of the Bush administration and which has seen very little change during the current Obama administration.

With all due respect to men from different ethnic backgrounds, I do believe it is time that women and transgender/transsexual members from various ethnic backgrounds outside the Caucasian majority globally - including but not confined to the African, Cantonese, Chinese, Eskimo, Greek, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Native American, Pacific Islander, South American and Vietnamese races - are given a chance to be heard and felt in American media of all mediums on a whole new level that lends them more than mere respect for their hard work and contributions to building a better society both domestically and globally. This includes, but is not confined to:

- Proper onscreen/off-screen portrayal/representation of their roles in media
- Proper rights as citizens, complete with protection from any racist slurs and other oppression of all kinds from radicals in the excessively conservative American Caucasian male/female majority
- Increase in Jobs in Media
- Improved Benefits in Media
- Roles equal/superior to both American Caucasian men and women in media

Let us work together to make this vast improvement take place, and ensure that all female/transgender/transsexual members of various ethnic backgrounds in America and abroad are properly and prominently rewarded in American media... permanently.
