Tell Florida Republicans: "Slaves did not 'benefit' from slavery, so take that out of the new curriculum NOW!"

Ron DeSantis and Florida Republicans are taking "being horrible" to a whole new level, by pushing a new curriculum in Florida schools that promotes the ways in which slaves benefitted from slavery.

Defending the curriculum, DeSantis said, "They're probably going to show that some of the folks that eventually parlayed, you know, being a blacksmith into doing things later in life." (Ignoring the fact that slavery was for life).

Slavery was horrible, and the people enslaved by it were not just taking an adult-ed course at the local high school. And Florida Republicans need to stop denying history, and get rid of the new curriculum NOW.
