We wish to change the way reviews are posted on fanfiction.net so that flames are harder to see and post.
Summed up, this is what we want to change about the way reviews are handled on the site www.fanfiction.net. We have prepared the following email to the personnel of this website:
Dear Personnel. Firstly, thank you for providing such an excellent website for sharing fan fiction. We all appreciate the work and effort that goes into maintaining FanFicion.Net and feel grateful that you do.
However, several of us have found that we are the victims of ‘flames’, biased, unjustified abuse. We are aware that we can report these ‘flamers’ but often it is just simpler and less painful to delete them. This of course is possible with anonymous reviews, but what we propose is to make it possible to delete signed reviews. Or alternatively, we propose some sort of screening system to give us the right as authors to choose which reviews are shown.
There are no authors on FanFiction.Net who have not been hurt by flaming. But with your help, we hope that soon this will not be the case.

As you can see, we aim to at least decrease the amount of flames that occur on this website, and help make fanfiction.net a happier and kinder community.
