To Allow Massachusetts Police canines to be considered police officers in cases of assault or death

Currently Police working dogs are not considered Police officers in the commonwealth of massachusetts. These working dogs are placed in the same danger as our Police officers . I request and urge our elected officials to appoint all police working dogs as Police officers and carry the same penalty for injuring or killing a police working dog.

To the Massachusetts General Court and His Excellency Governor Deval Patrick I urge to this governmental body. To commission all Police Working Dogs both at the state, Municipal and Transit level as Police Officer for the purpose to their protection and punishing criminals who hurt or maim or police working dogs. If convicted the offiender should be given the same sentence as assault on a police officer
