July 23rd -- 28th, the International AIDS Conference will take place on US soil for the first time in nearly 30 years. This monumental occasion will showcase the progress made in the fight against AIDS-- particularly to Congress, who threaten to erase our efforts.
More than 6.6 million people are now on life-saving treatment, up from just 100,000 in 2002. But we still have a long way to go to make sure we reach our goal.
Congress still needs to finalize next year's budget and we must act now to ensure they don't cut life-saving AIDS programs, such as PEPFAR. Together we must band together to fulfill our commitment to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Show your support and tell Congress it's time to prioritize and make the end of AIDS a reality.
Dear Congress,
Make the beginning of the end of AIDS a reality. Reverse proposed budget cuts to the life-saving AIDS program PEPFAR and fulfill our commitments to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Keep up the great work. Look what you've accomplished!
