Finland Must Stop Forcing Trans People to Be Sterilized

Finland's lawmakers have refused to act on UN Human Rights Council recommendations and change the country's Trans Act that requires trans people be sterilized and go through lengthy medical and mental health screening.

This practice is against human rights recognized under both European and United Nations law, and it must end now.

Tell Finland's Prime Minister Juha Sipilä to act now to revise the Trans Act and allow trans people to have their identities recognized free of inhumane medical procedures and screenings.
