The old petition is over 33-35 years old and time has changed. People were given the gift by the Creator to raise animals as food; eggs and or fryers. The City of Mullan as a testament by it's Mayor has proved for over nine years, ducks living in the city has not caused any problems. The people in the city should not be discriminated against for raising their own food, meat or garden. Only small farm animals such as ducks, chicken (no roosters) and rabbits are suitable for raising in the city on one's lot/property. Some of the city residents wishes to raise their own meat, which is healthier than market meat, who knows what chemicals were fed to these animals and are being passed onto us, hint: cancer is out of control, so why should the people be kept from raisning their own healthy food? So what we are asking, change the ordiances for the city limits so small farm animals limited to at least 4 or more per household, that these animals will be kept on the property, well provided for and clean.
