The Prime Minister is refusing to defend her record in public after Downing Street ruled out Theresa May’s participation in TV election debates.
Leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn said, "She says it’s about leadership, yet is refusing to defend her record in television debates. It’s not hard to see why – the Prime Minister ... can’t explain why people’s wages are lower today than they were 10 years ago or why more households are in debt. Child poverty is up, pensioner poverty is up so why are so many people getting poorer?"
Ms May suggested that she did not need to participate in the discussions because she had attended Prime Minister’s Questions!
This is not good enough. The public need to see a widely publicised, focused TV debate by party leaders, about the policies now being offered by each major political party in the upcoming 8 June election. Sign now to send an email to Theresa May telling her to agree to a TV debate with other party leaders!
If she continues to refuse, the debates should go ahead without her.

Email to Theresa May:
Dear Prime Minister,
Please participate in an election debate on TV with other major party leaders. Many people don't watch Prime Minister's Questions, and a highly publicised election debate would mean many more people are likely to hear from you about your plans for the country. If you do not participate, we can only assume it is because you are unable to defend your record so far, or your plans for the future.
