Immidiate suspention of Lagarde as IMF boss until judicial investigation on 285 million euro funding scandal is complete

Last year France’s public prosecutor has called for a full scale judicial inquiry into Lagarde’s involvement in the legal dispute between the business mogul Bernard Tapie and the then STATE OWNED French bank Credit Lyonnais.

Lagarde intervened and the two-decade-long dispute ended a year later with a €285 million settlement in favour of the tycoon - a friend of President Nicolas Sarkozy when she was finance minister.

It is not acceptable that an international organisation like the IMF, whose actions can affect millions of lives, is headed by a politian being investigated for large scale corruption.

We ask that Ms Lagarde is suspended with immediate effect until this matter is fully investigated.
