Don't Let Radical Republicans Override All Of NC's Anti-Discrimination Laws

We've seen it all over the country: Radical Republican politicians overriding the decisions of democratically elected local officials.

In Indiana it brought us the "License to Discriminate" law. In Michigan, it brought the city of Flint a poisoned water supply. And now those same undemocratic forces are seeking to override ALL of North Carolina's anti-discrimination laws.

In protest of this discriminatory proposal, the Democratic members of the North Carolina Senate walked out of the state capitol, refusing to dignify this legislation with their presence. We will not be party to state-sponsored discrimination.

The elected officials of North Carolina's cities and counties should decide how to protect their people, not Republicans at the state legislature elected in gerrymandered districts.

Cities and counties all over North Carolina have taken a stand against discrimination and bigotry, and now we call on the North Carolina legislature to do the same. Our laws protect the right of equality and make everyone feel safe and welcomed.

This is a time where we all need to unite to address our country's problems, not be driven apart by a radical social agenda.

Please sign our petition and tell Governor McCrory and the legislature that discrimination is unacceptable. Don't bring hate to the Tar Heel State!
