Why is it allowed to kill furthermore healthy cats?
They killed there pregnant cats too!

Why is the government supporting an action that will not improve protection for animals from cruelty, but will entrench archaic activities like killing, because the cats will be killed then. Are you not able to come up with other solutions other than ones that just echo actions of the Dark Ages? Why are you not heeding the express wishes of the majority of the American citizens and other citizens in the world?
As a fosterer of animals and a human society supporter, it is surprising you would not support a bill that will protect all animals from abuse and adequately protect cats from euthanasia.
Mandatory spay/neuter laws, if strictly enforced, have the potential to reduce the population of feral cats in many areas. Cats would be better served if we could all agree to support serious and comprehensive efforts to reduce their populations sharply. If animal control agencies are to deal with feral cats efficiently, they must have the resources they need. This means funding and gratis or low-cost professional services. Another option is available: enclosed NON KILLING sanctuaries where cats can live out their lives protected from injury.
Gandhi stated that "the advancement of a civilization can be seen in the way it treats its animals." In my view, the euthanasia of cats is not the measure of a healthy or mature society.
A balanced and multidimensional approach to management of feral cats that is practical, legal, sustainable, competent, and compassionate and that embraces stewardship and responsibility for all species is the measure of a mature society.
