Petition to Deny the building of a 5,000 sq ft Convenience Store and Gas Station in the Barrington Center

  • recipient: The Town Management of Barrington New Hampshire (Planning Board and Selectmen)

We love our town! Please join us in preserving the life we all love here in the Town of Barrington NH. We had made the choice to live here to avoid the congestion and glaring lights of the city. We live here to raise our children in a clean safe environment. For generations we have maintained the country charm of our little town. We know each other parents, grandparents and children. We know the outstanding and hardworking small business owners, that work to raise their families alongside ours. We attend school functions, sporting events and church with people we've known all our lives. The charm of our town is being threatened by developers looking to make a quick buck and leave us with the eyesore of development. These developers are land owners not residents. They build and leave without taking our way of life into consideration.

Take a stand now to preserve our lives, our community for future generations. Please sign our petition to stop the approval of this 5,000 square foot convenience store and gas station slated to be built on Route 125 next to George Calef’s Fine Foods. This monstrosity increases our risk for contamination, will increase traffic congestion and will add no value to our town.

We have a gas station that has served our community well. They are good neighbors and fine stewards of their property.

This particular property development has already torn so many residents apart, causing stress and an up rise of anger. Let's stand together and fight for the lifestyle we work hard to protect.

Our voices, Our passion for the town and life we love will make the difference!
