Pamper Mother Earth for Earth Day

Target: YOU!
Sponsored by: Care2
There's a reason we call our planet Mother Earth. And this Earth Day, it's time for change - we need to all start treating Mother Earth as if she was our own mother. Care2 is working with World Wildlife Fund's Time for Change Campaign to increase support for an awareness of the changes we need to make for our planet.

Every action you take affects our Earth, from how much energy you use to what products you buy. And just as you want to make your own mother happy and healthy, there are things you can do to make Mother Earth thrive as well. Scroll down on this page to see simple steps you can take to help Mother Earth this Earth Day!

Join Care2 in taking steps to treat Mother Earth as your own! Tell us how.

If it was your mother, you would: bring her flowers
For Mother Earth: Plant her a tree!

If it was your mother, you would: Offer to clean the house
For Mother Earth: Use environmentally friendly cleaning products

If it was your mother, you would: Cook her dinner
For Mother Earth: Buy organic, local food and bring your own bags to the store

If it was your mother, you would: Help her remodel her house
For Mother Earth: Install energy efficient windows, appliances, light bulbs and insulation systems

If it was your mother, you would: Take her to a movie
For Mother Earth: Ride your bikes, walk or take public transportation

I already buy only organic groceries, bringing my own reusable cloth bags. I recycle like a madwoman. I already use environmentally friendly cleaning products and personal care products. If I could afford to buy a home, I would get solar or wind power and get all sustainable construction. I am a member of Tree People...if I had a place to plant the one free tree a year members can receive, I would do it...but I don't have a place to plant trees of my own.

We currently have a very bad issue that needs to be addressed. All over our planet earth people/businesses/governments and others have seem to forgotten that the Earth is a planet that requires a good amount of balance to exist. Our ecosystem is getting worse all the time because people are changing the system by killing off animals that are part of the system. If there were in fact too many of one species of animal the ecosystem would eventually balance the system to bring it back to par. The issue is that man is treating Earth badly and eventually (if we are not already) will suffer for this injustice we are doing to our home planet. When these issue are addressed to your office, keep in mind that your grandchildren and their children deserve to have the opportunity to see the Earth as we do, with all of the different species of animals and plants. So when you do vote remember to vote for your heirs and allow animals/plants and the environment to be protected from mans current injustice to the planet Earth.
