Congress: Don't Neglect Homeless Kids

The Runaway and Homeless Youth Act is meant to help some of the most at risk kids in our country a safe place to spend the night. The work it's meant to do is vital, as kids who find themselves living on the streets are some of the most vulnerable to child trafficking.

Yet, while about 550,000 unaccompanied youth spend more than a week homeless each year, there are only 4,800 beds funded by the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act available at any given time.

That lack of resources means kids are being left out on the streets.

Currently an updated Runaway and Homeless Youth Trafficking Prevention Act is before Congress - that gives our Senators a unique opportunity to lead the movement for our youth, building for them a bridge from homelessness to hope, from despair to opportunity.

We can't keep leaving vulnerable kids out in the cold.

Send a message to your Senators today to stand up for homeless youth and reauthorize the Runaway and Homeless Youth Trafficking Prevention Act today!
Dear [Representative],

Yet still, too many kids find themselves sleeping on the streets every night.
