Fans Demand another season of Queer as Folk

On December 3, 2000 television history was made when the first episode of Queer as Folk aired. There was nothing else like it on television in the United States. This show helped spread acceptance and understanding and it's important that it continues to do so. Queer as Folk and Showtime Networks ignited a revolution in television and it pushed the envelope wide open. Homosexuality is more widely accepted on television and has gone mainstream. Gay characters are ever present on network television and have made hit shows for networks like NBC and ABC. It all began with Queer as Folk. It's important to keep this show alive not just for the fans but to continue the revolution in hopes that one day there will be no hate or prejudice, only love and acceptance. We the fans of Queer as Folk along with members of the gay and straight community ask Showtime to renew Queer as Folk for a 5th season. It's important for Showtime Networks who began the movement to keep the wheels in motion. We appreciate the efforts of Showtime to add new shows with gay and lesbian themes however Queer as Folk is the original and has brought Showtime thousands of viewers that only subscribe to Showtime for Queer as Folk. Showtime, please show how much you appreciate the fans and subscribers of your network by continuing to provide entertaining, controversial, and dangerously original television by renewing Queer as Folk for a fifth fabulous season.
