Repeal The Real Id Act of 2005

To ask the US Senate to repeal the Real Id act of 2005 mandating, by May 2008, national ids that will track every citizen in this country. Not only will is this an essential violation of our right to privacy but it put all of us in further danger of ID theft by creating a centralized privately run database of all the citizens of this country. The technology already exists for unauthorized persons to read the information off this card --even at distance! You could be scanned by just walking into any place with a set up scanner. You could be tracked! It also would cost taxpayers even more money and bureaucratic mess than we have already! This petition will be sent to Harry Reid, Senate majority leader.
