Tell the U.S House to Fight Illegal Wildlife Poaching

Africa is home to the world's most iconic wildlife including elephants, rhinos, gorillas and lions. But illegal poaching might destroy these species forever.

Poaching rates have reached record highs and at the current rate it is estimated that many iconic African animals will disappear within our lifetime.

Fortunately, there's new legislation — the Global Anti-Poaching Act — in the works, which would combat the commercial poaching and wildlife trafficking that is decimating Africa's wildlife. This is a huge step to save these animals while also combating the organized crime groups that profit from this bloody trade and are increasingly linked to human trafficking, drug trafficking, and terrorism.

By speaking out together, we can save Africa's wildlife before it is too late.

Sign the petition today and tell the your U.S. House of Representatives member that you support the Global Anti-Poaching Act and an end to illegal poaching in Africa.
To: U.S. House of Representatives Re: Support Global Anti-Poaching Act, H.R. 2494 Dear Representative, I'm writing in support of the Global Anti-Poaching Act, H.R. 2494 introduced by Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and U.S. Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), the Committee's Ranking Member and subsequently passed by the Committee on June 25, 2015. This is a befitting step that affirms the whole of government commitment and approach to fight against wildlife crime through the application of new innovative and improved tools to enforce both domestic law and conditions for foreign assistance. I support H.R. 2494 as an important counterpart to the National Strategy for Combatting Wildlife Trafficking and write to request that your sign on to vote for the legislation when it is presented to the full House. I look forward to your support in the fight to combat organized commercial poaching and wildlife trafficking, which empowers transnational organized crime syndicates that are increasingly linked to human trafficking, drug trafficking, and terrorism.
