Want to hear something shocking? Pneumonia and diarrhea kill more kids every year than AIDS, TB, and malaria combined. Here's the thing: With proven, affordable childhood vaccines, we can help put a stop to this. But one in five children around the world today still doesn’t have access to vaccines.
So what can you do to help? Make sure our leaders step up and give the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization the funding it needs. This amazing partnership has saved more than 6 million children's lives and helped immunize 440 million kids since 2000. And if it gets the funding it deserves in the next year, GAVI can save more than 5 million additional lives in the next five years. That's a goal worth cheering for.
